Haryana News: Haryana Government constitutes a State Level Sanctioning Committee (SLSC)

Haryana News: Haryana Government has constituted a State Level Sanctioning Committee (SLSC) for implementation of the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Secretary, Mr. P. K Chaudhery.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the members of the committee include Principal Secretaries of Food and Supplies, Environment, Finance, Forest, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Planning, Irrigation, Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries Departments.
Also, Vice Chancellors of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar and Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar, Director Generals of Horticulture and Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department, Director, Fisheries, Representatives of Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Government of India, New Delhi and Representatives of Planning Commission, New Delhi are its members.
He said that Director General, Agriculture is the Member Secretary of this committee.
He said that SLSC would sanction projects under stream-1 of the RKVY. It would also monitor the progress of the sanctioned projects or schemes and review the implementation of the schemes objectives and ensure that the programmes are implemented in accordance with the guidelines laid down. Also, it would ensure that no duplication of efforts or resources takes place. He said that the committee would commission or undertake field studies to monitor the implementation of the project. Initiating evaluation studies from time to time, as may be required and undertaking any other project of importance to the State’s Agriculture and allied sectors. He said that the committee would also ensure that there are no inter-district disparities with respect to the financial pattern or subsidy assistance in the projects.
