Haryana News: Haryana Power Utilities working hard to restore power

Haryana News: Haryana Power Utilities have restored supply of power in 50 per cent area of the State and it would be restored in 80 per cent of the area by midnight. However, the supply of power has been restored at all sub-stations in the State.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana Power Utilities said that no negative indication was found in Haryana grid which caused grid failure as per analysis of Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam and flash report of Northern Regional Load Despatch Centre (NRLDC).

He said that northern grid failed at 2:35 a.m. and at that time, the frequency of disturbance was 49.75 Hz. He said that strenuous efforts were made by Haryana Power Utilities to restore the supply which was extended to Panipat Thermal Power Station (PTPS) unit-I to IV and Western Jamuna Canal Power Station (WJCPS) from Bhakra Beas Management Board at 8 a.m. The supply to railway was restored at 8:10 a.m. and that of essential feeders started to restore at 8 a.m.

He said that as per the present status of generating units, the synchronization of Faridabad Gas Power Plant Unit-I was 8:44 a.m., its unit-II at 10 a.m., WJCPS 10:31 a.m., PTPS unit-VI 11:30 a.m. and its unit-VII was synchronized at 2:58 p.m.

    There has been hardly any power in Faridabad since last grid failure and God knows what will happen now………..perhaps they will take few more days to restore things to normal and that too when power tariff is so high in haryana
