While the importance of thinking skills has been well-established, its teaching and learning is complex. Learners do not automatically develop thinking skills while learning content. Hence it is important to address the teaching and learning of thinking skills explicitly, in addition to content.
The workshop included two sessions – In the first workshop session, power-point presentation and practical aspects of knowledge about various types of thinking skills was shared among students which gave deep insights and have enriched their understanding on the developing thinking skills. Whereas, in the second interactive session included group-discussions, critical reflective thinking and about analyzing Edward De Bono’s six thinking hat skills. The session was very interactive and was appreciated by everyone.
The aim of workshop is to develop critical thinking skills among students, which is the pinnacle of the accumulation of knowledge and experience.
